Applications

We welcome applications for undergraduate research, master’s and PhD study, and postdoctoral research.

All applicants for undergraduate, master’s, or PhD positions must send a CV and academic transcripts with recent grades, together with a short description of their interests. Postdoctoral applicants should send a CV with their publications and a short research statement.

For quantum computing or quantum information, applicants must have taken relevant courses before applying. UFMG students new to the subject should first take Gabriel’s Quantum Computing course.

Our research covers quantum information and algorithms, algebraic graph theory, semidefinite optimization, and applied mathematics and machine learning. Applications include finance, clustering, and problems arising in R&D partnerships.

Master’s applicants must follow the PPGCC admissions calendar. Postdoctoral positions depend on available funding; prospective applicants are encouraged to contact us about a year in advance.
